A photographer came to the Wildlife Center and asked me to bring out one of the hawks to photograph for her book. I put Naakahay, a male Redtail, on my glove and brought him outside. It was a beautiful snowy day. The air was crisp, the sun was bright, and gentle flakes of snow were swirling softly from the trees.
Naakahay stood on my arm with quiet dignity, while the camera clicked away.
“Oh what a beautiful bird!” Exclimed the photogropher. “I wish I could capture him in flight!”
I made eye contact with my feathered friend, and spirit guide. “Why don’t you spread your wings Naakahay, and show the world just how beauftiful you really are?”
Lo and behold, he did just that!
May this photo inspire us all to do the same.
